The Participant Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management, organization, and integrity of participants data. This role ensures accurate data entry, secure storage, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working with large datasets while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) – Assign a percentage to each essential function (equal to 100%):

  • Perform accurate and timely entry of participant data into the database system.
  • Verify and validate data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent data standards across all records.
  • Verify and update existing participant records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle high volumes of data entry with speed and precision.

  • Manage and maintain the participant data management system, ensuring functionality and security.
  • Regularly update databases and troubleshoot data discrepancies or system issues.

  • Conduct routine data audits to identify errors or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to correct and resolve data issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve data quality and reliability.

  • Generate reports and summaries of participant data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends and findings.

  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless data flow and access.
  • Serve as the primary contact for data-related inquiries and troubleshooting.

  • Adhere to data privacy and security policies in line with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with research protocols and participant data collection methods.
  • Experience with creating data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be team oriented.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data entry, management, or analysis, preferably in a healthcare or research environment.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, REDCap, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
  • One or two year experience of working in a data entry or related field is preferred
