Engineering Manager, Platform and Data team

Outsight’s software solutions track the motion of people and vehicles using 3D LiDAR data.Operators of transportation hubs like airports and train stations but also sport venues, road infrastructures and industrial sites can now access accurate and anonymous Spatial Intelligence data, in order to improve operations and increase user safety and satisfaction.
Our international team of scientists and engineers drive the development of our solutions from Paris, San Francisco, Sophia-Antipolis (Nice) & Hong Kong. To support our global outreach, we also operate a commercial office in Spain.

Our Passenger Flow Traffic Monitoring solution is trusted by the world’s leading airports and train stations across four continents, including the most renowned hubs celebrated for their operational excellence and exceptional passenger experience.  We also deploy our solutions in other markets such as Tourism, Retails and Sports.
Additionally, our Car Traffic Remote Monitoring product is trusted by several Tier 1 customers, including BMW.
Context
As the teams are expanding, we are looking for an experienced manager to drive the Platform and Data team. This is a cross-functional team in charge of the design and development of several interconnected key modules of Outsight Shift solution:
- The Kubernetes foundation that deploys, orchestrate and monitors our whole spatial intelligence software stack. This includes design, deployment, operation, monitoring activities.- The data processing services (aggregation, events handling, alerting, statistics) that transform the 3D perception results, combined with external data, into actionable information for our customers. This includes transformation, storage and exposure.- The UI/UX of our web applications (full stack, user management, third party services, Outsight specific 3D components).
Responsibilities
We are seeking a team manager with at least 10 years of experience capable of organizing and animating a cross-functional team of developers, platform engineers and data specialists.
The engineering manager will split his time into complementary activities :
- Lead the team to design and implement a solid data driven product.- Follow/Challenge/Enrich the software roadmap and the processes in general in collaboration with the managers, directors and project managers.- Commit and communicate on team deliverables. - Manage a team of 6 to 10 people with a wide range of skills, define clear responsibilities, ensure that the software development process is respected, help colleagues grow. 
What are the requirements for the role?
On top of its ability to drive a team, the candidate must have a solid technical background in the following fields:
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, …), and containerization in general (Docker).- Strong background in data engineering, including ETL pipelines, data lakes, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).- Experience in backend frameworks (Node.js, Python, ...) and ideally in Front-end technologies (Vue.js, React, ...).
