Technical Analyst / Senior Analyst (Data, FP&A)

As Senior Technical Analyst, you will assist in creating and maintaining analytic and database models to address business issues and provide accurate, insightful, and timely analyses for key business units at Marina Bay Sands.

This role will require you to use Data Analytics and Visualization tools as well as IBM Performance Management tools (such as Cognos TM1) and Structured Query Language (SQL) for development, automation, and maintenance of applications in both financial and hospitality management domain.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain complex data models to solve budgeting, planning, performance management and reporting challenges.
• Maintain OLAP multi-dimensional cubes and support dimension management, metadata design and maintenance and ETL development.
• Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis of large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and presenting information using data visualization techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on day-to-day activities during forecast and budget periods.
• Continuously enhance process automation and improvement.

Job Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Hospitality Management, or other Analytical fields.

Experience

• 2-3 years working experience with database knowledge preferred but not mandatory for analytical field, or relevant studies.
• Key Interests in Financial modeling, OLAP modeling, process automation and keen to learn OLAP Tools like IBM Cognos TM1/ Planning Analytics is highly desirable.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, VBA, R, data mining & modeling skills is highly preferred.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos) or similar analytics tools is preferred.
• Prior Experience in IBM Cognos TM1/ Planning Analytics is highly desired.
• Experience with financial analysis, trend analysis, Capex process, accounting, budgeting with background in Hospitality and/or Gaming would be a plus.

Other Prerequisites

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Basic understanding of SDLC.
