Indra is the central program driving the introduction and safe scaling of AI at Deutsche Bank. The focus is to identify AI potential across various banking operations, driving funded use cases into production to create value and confidence and scale across the bank, creating selected shared services with embedded safety to enable low-cost scale, developing an AI Workbench for developers for safe AI development at pace, and introducing AI controls whilst aiming to maintain time to market.

You will support the Deutsche Bank Chief Strategy Office which drives Deutsche Bank’s AI and innovation strategy, thought leadership, technology partnerships and investments, as well as the execution of AI transformation and cross-bank innovation solutions. The team enables the bank to accelerate and drive business led AI innovation to deliver revenue growth and operational efficiencies for all bank divisions and the DB ecosystem of partners. You will be joining the global Chief Strategy Office team and work as a Product Owner (f/m/x) in our Applied Innovation Tribe.

Your key responsibilities

  • Working with your Squad Lead, Data Scientists and Inspire and Discover colleagues to help business users harness AI powered process automation solutions
  • Driving the progression of an innovative idea into an MVP product solution design with success criteria agreed with Stakeholders for continuous re-evaluation of the value of an idea
  • Collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, banking operations, compliance, and IT teams to ensure the successful development, launch, and adoption of automation solutions
  • Understanding the pain points and regulatory challenges in banking processes and maintain a healthy backlog
  • Staying updated on AI, automation, data science, and ML trends specific to the banking sector to identify new opportunities for innovation in automation

Your skills and experience

  • Experience working in the role of the PO with a solid understanding of AI/ML models, with a sound foundation in the technologies that developers use to build AI products
  • Motivation to convert an innovative idea into a tangible product while focusing on the value add for the business and completer-finisher mindset
  • Experience working in agile teams based on Scrum methodology
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate customer, user and stakeholder needs on a long-term basis, reflecting this in the product vision and ability to deliver incremental features mapped to the vision
  • Excellent understanding of customer and user needs, business dynamics, banking, and technological know-how, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as international or work experience in a global environment with business fluency English (German is a plus)
