Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will typically focus on leveraging various Enterprise tools and services to manage and optimize data systems and flows. As part of the Group Data and Business Intelligence team:

• Develop and implement a state-of-the-art data hub, which will form a centralised single source of the truth across the Genuit Group.
• Responsible for translating data requirements from source systems to presentation views across a wide number of domains.
• Integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various sources into a suitable schema for analytics.
• Ensuring data security and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions which meet the Genuit Group long term strategic vision & roadmap.

Core areas of responsibility

• Provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the design and implementation of Enterprise-wide data platforms, solutions and scalable data storage solutions.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• API management - creating, publishing, and managing APIs in a secure and scalable manner.
• Creation of group wide reporting, KPI and dashboards.
• Creation of solutions utilising Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Author technical documentation.
• Investigate, identify, diagnose, and resolve data related issues.
• Comply with and introduce organisational procedures ensuring systems security.
• Assisting in the identification, analysis, and escalation of problems, owning through to resolution.
• Meeting SLA in delivering effective solutions to customer requests.

Capabilities required

3+ years Experience in data platforms and solutions design, implementation, configuration, and ability to contribute to the architectural requirements and project scoping across the following core data concepts/solutions:

• Azure Data Services experience
• SQL data warehouse
• Oracle Database
• Star Schema
• API management
• Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable:

• Understanding of key Master Data Hub concepts
• ERP/CRM database experience (IFS, SAGE, SALESFORCE, WORKDAY etc.)
• Boomi middleware experience
• REST and/or SOAP API
• JSON/XML file formats
• Microsoft Fabric
• AWS
• Python, R or Java
