The Opportunity

As an Associate Data Analyst in MassMutual Ascend’s Product and Pricing Group, you will support the management of new and inforce rates and other ad hoc data analysis in support of strategic decisions.  This position will collaborate with departments across the company including IT, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and will provide data summaries and analysis to Senior Management as requested.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce and distribute key management report(s)
• Develop, maintain, and improve spreadsheets, queries, and reports to access, analyze, and present data using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Power Query/Power BI, SQL, and other available data generating tools
• Manage approvals from Interest Rate Committee
• Perform ad hoc data analysis when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in Insurance Industry
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Results-oriented
• Ability to complete tasks on schedule
• Proficient in Excel
• Acumen for learning data reporting knowledge, specifically: SQL, Power Query/Power BI, & OBIEE
