What you'll do...

Position: Manager, Operations

Job Location:  10500 NE 8th Street, 13th Floor, Bellevue, WA 98004

Duties: Forecast and analyze driver capacity and improve trip forecasting accuracy. Design and execute on processes that will build and shape the massive driver supply for the Spark Driver product. Analyze and interpret information by using various analytical methodologies for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency. Work with the Acquisition Team Lead to set the vision, strategy, and goals for the business, and define strategic priorities. Work closely with and advise business leaders across the organization on topics ranging from specific analyses to annual strategic planning to multi-year visions. Translate data analyses into recommendations aligned with business objectives to meet business goals. Manage the development and improvement of new and existing operational tools, reports, and customer-facing functionalities by providing direction and input on business and functional requirements. Lead cross-functional collaboration to develop processes and strategies to improve Spark Driver engagement by partnering with product management, merchandising, engineering, and other groups to drive projects. Build forecasting models and execute capacity planning. Understand and investigate driver concerns and partner with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvements. Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer, driver, and operational needs. Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. Help stakeholders prioritize and track short-term and long-term driver engagement initiatives. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, or related field and 2 years of experience in operations, project management, or related area.

Skills required: Experience using time-series modeling in SQL to analyze trends and capture volume increments and ensure forecasting accuracy. Experience running regressions in Tableau to determine the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve delivery experience including on-time pick, on-time delivery, dwell time, and driver engage time. Experience developing machine learning iterations in Python to build driver predictions at the day level and hour-slot level based on historical trends. Experience developing system architecture using the Preference Analysis Model (PAM) and XGBoost to route offer cards to the right driver pool based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including proximity, acceptance rate and engagement. Experience building Tableau dashboards and new calculated parameters for trip capacity planning and driver supply to analyze performance and solve root causes of incidents. Experience supporting new store launches for delivery and building driver supply in accordance with expected trips. Experience analyzing zone level data in Tableau to determine optimal driver utilization rates and engage new drivers to fill the supply demand gap. Experience investigating driver churn across zones in accordance with annual trends and working cross-functionally to reactivate, incentivize, and introduce non-monetary driver engagement. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $103,064/year to $167,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
