What the Team Does:
This role sits within the Fraud Strategy team, where you will play a key role in managing chargebacks, data reconciliation, and financial analysis. In addition, you’ll be collaborating with multiple business, tech, and product teams to ensure success, reduce losses, and build a sustainable fraud prevention program.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst and Chargeback Manager to join our team. The Data Analyst and Chargeback Manager will be responsible for leveraging their analytical expertise and data management knowledge to drive cross-functional initiatives. They will be responsible for data mining, executing queries in SQL, and providing insights into chargebacks. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be able to work effectively across multiple time zones.
You’ll Make an Impact By:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop reporting deliverables, create ad hoc analyses, and provide insights to support business planning.
Address strategic questions facing the business and collaborate with leaders to plan and implement solutions.
Identify trends and patterns in chargeback data to suggest preventive measures and improve processes.
Special Projects and In-depth Analysis:
Act as the primary point of contact for chargeback management, offering insights into metric movements and trends.
Support decision-making by developing analytic capabilities, analyzing trends, and identifying root causes.
Lead and conduct ad hoc analyses to identify the root causes of chargeback trends and implement improvements.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as a subject matter expert on technical questions around chargebacks and data reconciliation.
Advise cross-functional partners on data management risks and best practices.
You Will Bring:
Advanced SQL experience, preferably in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle databases (or any database experience with a willingness to learn new databases).
Proficiency in Python, Tableau Prep, Dataiku, and Excel (with Macros) for data preparation.
Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau (Power BI or Looker experience is also acceptable with a willingness to learn new tools).
Strong analytical, data mining, data preparation, and data visualization skills.
Utilize advanced analytics and data management expertise to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Execute complex queries in SQL to extract and analyze data for chargeback management.
Perform data mining to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Tech, and Business, to drive initiatives and implement data management strategies.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
React quickly to urgent requests and work with shorter deadlines to address data-related queries and concerns.
You’ll Sweep Us Off Our Feet If:
You have 5-6 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
Strong knowledge of data management principles and practices.
Proficiency in executing queries using SQL.
Experience with data mining and analysis techniques.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and meet urgent deadlines.
E-commerce background is preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
