Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Duties: Support eCommerce business teams that make critical decisions on seller, category, and assortment related matters. Work with leadership and business partners to discuss and understand goals, functional objectives, and key business challenges to develop hypotheses around current and future business issues. Identify functional analytics, align analytics roadmaps to business objectives, and develop tactical research plans. Provide guidance to Directors and advise on next steps based on insights. Present actionable recommendations to Directors to inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders. Design, develop, and present strategic recommendations that directly address key business questions. Conduct tracking and measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to recommendations and socialize to the broader teams. Own workstreams and individual projects end-to-end in the analytics roadmap. Manage risks associated with implementations. Develop and drive business opportunities by identifying program and project opportunities. Determine program and project feasibility through data analysis. Assess the financial and physical performance of each program. Drive strategies with cross-functional teams. Develop data models for workstreams and individual projects to drive business results and value. Collaborate with project team to implement modeling solutions. Address complex business problems by applying advanced analytics to drive data-driven decision making. Make strategic recommendations to team based on data analysis. Manage and execute data analysis strategy. Collaborate with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for workstreams and individual projects for a business area, category, or prototype. Interface with external business partners and vendors. Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs. Identify and communicate goals and objectives. Build accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results. Identify and address improvement opportunities. Manage the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for workstreams and individual projects. Manage the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborate with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Drive processes across different areas of the business to ensure efficiency and compliance by establishing timelines, workflows, and requirements. Verify necessary documentation for reviewing results. Manage functioning of key process and controls and determine appropriate information. Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs. Develop and communicate business plans and priorities. Remove barriers and obstacles that impact performance. Identify performance standards and measure progress and adjusting performance accordingly. Supervise two (2) employees (2 Manager(s), Advanced Analytics).
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience creating and querying tables on SQL databases. Experience using R or Python for data analysis. Experience creating dashboards to report reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using at least one of the following: Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker. Experience with Stakeholder Management and working with a cross functional team toward a common objective. Experience with quantitative modeling and statistical analysis techniques. Experience with team management. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
