Core Description

Responsible for a portfolio of IT projects, systems, servers, applications, analysis, design, development,testing, monitoring, optimization and providing system support for the business intelligence end-user accessarchitecture ecosystem within Telkom SA.

Job Responsibilities

Developing of software systems to support business processes
Web Server and/or Database Server administration
Providing support and guidance to fellow developers and end users as well as the determining of futureinfrastructure requirements
Responsible for taking high-level business plans, ideas, problems or requirements and translating them intoconcrete functional specifications
The specifications produced will describe how the solution integrates with both the business processes andproducts, and the existing IT infrastructure
These specs must then be translated into solutions; these solutions must be tested and implemented
The implemented solutions must be maintained
All bug fixes will be taken through the same process as new requirements, including project management
Analysis Responsibilities:
Determine current and future business requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Deep understanding of hardware and systems including data centre equipment, servers, desktop PCs,mobile devices, network infrastructure and security tools.
