On behalf of Dreams, GT is looking for a Part-time Data Engineer to support and optimize data flows across the organization.
Involvement: Part-time (~10-15 hours per week).
Contract Duration: ~3 months.

About the Role
You are a talented Data Engineer with a passion for working with structured data and optimizing data flows. Your expertise lies in working with SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring seamless integration between internal and external systems.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining ETL pipelines, automating data ingestion processes, and supporting business operations by ensuring reliable and structured data availability.
Additionally, you will contribute to project work aimed at enhancing data flow efficiency and business functionality.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Alteryx and SQL to integrate data from various sources.
Manage SQL-based transformations and ensure structured data availability.
Retrieve and process data using REST APIs (e.g., RotaGeek API) to integrate external data sources.
Ensure smooth data movement and structured storage to support internal business operations and external reporting needs.
Work on data enhancements and contribute to streamlining existing processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless data flow and efficient data ingestion.
Support the vision for the organization’s use of data in line with corporate goals and vision.
Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
At least of 5 years of experience in a data engineering or data processing role with a focus on ETL pipelines and SQL-based transformations.
Strong proficiency in SQL( including experience with data extraction, transformation, and querying across multiple datasets) and preferably knowledge of Alteryx.
Alteryx – This is the primary ETL tool used for data ingestion, transformation, and integration. Experience with it is highly preferred, but we are open to candidates who can learn it quickly.
Experience working with ETL & Data Pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and integration between systems.
Database Management – Ability to create, update, and maintain tables for analytical processing.
Basic understanding of REST APIs – Experience retrieving and processing data from external sources (e.g., RotaGeek API).
Ability and confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business.
Ability to explain technical subjects in a manner suitable to the audience involved.
