About the Role

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure that powers decision-making at Charlie Health. This person will play a key role in transforming raw data into

actionable insights, ensuring that our therapists, clinical teams, and business stakeholders have access to high-quality, reliable data. 

They will work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to design scalable data models, optimize data workflows, and drive a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making. 

This role is foundational to making Charlie Health’s data more accessible, accurate, and impactful—helping us improve outcomes for the teens and young adults we serve.

Responsibilities 

  • Full-stack analytics engineering: Build, maintain, and optimize data models that transform raw data into structured, actionable insights in Snowflake using dbt. 
  • Develop scalable data workflows: Partner with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are efficient, reliable, and well-documented. 
  • Enable data-driven decision-making: Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics tools in Hex and Tableau, ensuring teams can easily access the right data. 
  • Drive a culture of experimentation: Implement best practices for A/B testing, cohort analysis, and impact measurement, ensuring insights drive real-world improvements in patient care and clinician experience. 
  • Optimize performance & cost: Continuously refine queries and data transformations to reduce latency, improve efficiency, and manage Snowflake costs effectively. 
  • Foster data enablement & collaboration: Work cross-functionally with clinical, product, and operations teams to ensure they can trust and leverage data to improve business and patient outcomes. 

Requirements 

  • Advanced SQL expertise (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery), with the ability to write and optimize complex queries. 
  • Proficiency with dbt (or equivalent transformation tools) for building scalable data models.
  • Experience with BI & reporting tools (Hex, Tableau) to develop dashboards and reports. 
  • Understanding of data warehouse architecture, governance, and best practices to ensure data is structured, reliable, and easy to access. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, balancing technical rigor with business needs. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset to work across teams and functions.

Additional Information

The total target cash compensation for this role will be between $140,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and number of years of experience. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.
