The Team – your impact

As a Lead Analytics Engineer (f/m/d), you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing our analytics capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge data solutions that enhance efficiency, improve decision-making, and drive sustainability. Your technical leadership will ensure the success of key data initiatives while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

• Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership, providing strategic direction and mentorship to team members.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions that support business goals across E.ON’s international operations.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Own the architecture and best practices for analytics and reporting use cases, leveraging cloud-based technologies like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Drive high-quality standards in analytics, visualization, and dashboarding, advocating for best practices in data storytelling.
• Support recruitment efforts by evaluating technical candidates and helping build a high-performing data team.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in data engineering, analytics, and AI, recommending new tools and methodologies.

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded​

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• Extended years of experience in data analytics, engineering, or visualization, with proven leadership capabilities.
• Deep expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Power Apps, with the ability to evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python, with experience handling large datasets.
• Extensive experience with cloud-based ETL tools and frameworks (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Knowledge of the energy industry is a plus.
