What We’re Looking For


Travelpro is seeking an eCommerce Data Scientist to join our eCommerce team, on-site preferred.  In this role you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets to drive strategic decisions around customer behavior, sales trends, and marketing effectiveness. A major focus of this role is leveraging AI-driven insights and automation strategies to optimize critical eCommerce KPIs, including conversion rates, customer acquisition costs (CAC), average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLV).   


What You’ll Do


Your work will directly enhance customer experience, boost marketing ROI, and drive sustainable revenue growth. You will also:

  • Collaborate with digital  merchandisers, lifecycle marketing, finance, and leadership to translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations that shape business strategy.
  • Analyze and interpret large, cross-channel datasets to uncover insights related to customer behavior, sales trends, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations to inform e-commerce strategies and improve ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, product) to translate business needs into actionable data analysis requirements.
  • Develop and maintain AI-driven tools and automation frameworks that streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and evaluate outcomes to optimize marketing campaigns and site features.
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Provide actionable  recommendations to drive revenue growth, improve customer experience, and enhance marketing ROI.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data sources, resolving issues related to data integrity and compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging AI/analytics tools, and best practices in e-commerce analytics.

 What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (in data analytics, AI, or business intelligence) are a plus. 
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in data analysis—preferably in e-commerce or a similar consumer-facing environment. Demonstrable success with advanced analytics projects (e.g., forecasting, attribution, segmentation), deploying AI-based solutions and establishing  automated reporting frameworks that streamline processes and accelerate data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing automated workflows that minimize manual data processes and accelerate analytics-driven decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and a programming language (e.g., Python, R), particularly for building scripts and tools that enhance data efficiency.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) for interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify (or similar) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data lakes cloud-based analytics, or big data technologies is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a data-driven culture.
