To support Internal Audit’s data-driven audit testing strategy and the development of continuous monitoring and other self-service data tools. Perform complex analytical and statistical modeling on large data sets to provide Internal Audit leadership, risk partners, and business unit Management with actionable intelligence and insights on key risks to business processes and controls. Define data requirements, perform data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling and visualization on systems and data from all lines of business. Design, automate and publish data pipelines and dashboards that provide continuous monitoring capabilities. Lead complex data analysis projects with minimal supervision and wide latitude for independent judgment. Consult with audit teams and other stakeholders to advise on data analytics best-practices on audit engagements. Effectively support projects from inception through deployment and maintenance.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, dashboards, automation solutions to support audit analytics
  • Conduct the end-to-end data analysis lifecycle, including gathering requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, visualization, and reporting
  • Retrieve, analyze, validate and visualize large datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity of reported results
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify key trends, anomalies, and patterns in business and financial data
  • Apply predictive modeling, forecasting, and statistical methods to assess risks and improve audit insights
  • Conduct root cause analysis to detect irregularities and enhance risk-based decision-making
  • Collaborate with senior staff and audit teams to provide data-driven insights that enhance audit effectiveness
  • Effectively communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations for business stakeholders and leadership
  • Support complex data science and big data projects within Internal Audit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or audit analytics
  • Advanced SQL skills for extraction, transformation and analysis of large datasets
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos, Qlick)
  • Hands-on experience with relational database environments including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and similar database environments
  • Proficiency with database development and query tools, such as WinDQL, VS Code, SQL Developer and similar scripting environments
  • Experience in statistical methods including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, correlation, and probability modeling
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and summarize complex data and models for risk assessment and audit decision-making
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and trend identification
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing techniques
  • Working knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, PEGA) is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting
  • Effective communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
