Jr Business Data Analyst

As a junior Business/Data Analyst, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on successfully delivering key projects on time, contributing comprehensive analysis and insight into projects and reporting solutions, in response to diverse requests driving key business decisions. You will produce detailed documentation on processes and workflows using tools such as SSRS Report Builder, Power BI, Visio and Microsoft Project. What you’ll be doing:

• Support data requests and maintain the expanding catalogue of reports and dashboards
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Data Analyst to help develop new data models and datasets
• Facilitate process and data source improvement initiatives by helping to design, write and implement process documentation
• Elicit requirements using interviews, documents, business, product and workflow analysis
• Collect and analyze business requirements then transfer the knowledge gained to the development team
• Prepare/review system documentation and specifications
• Support stakeholders with analysis and ad hoc information requests, including performance metrics through compilation and interpretation of data pulled from various resources

What you bring:

• Bachelor degree in information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline
• 1 years’ experience in business, accounting, business analysis or computer science
• Solid knowledge of both SQL based report writing tools (Microsoft Report Builder) and Power BI
• Knowledge of relational database and multi-dimensional design concepts
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret and translate stakeholder business needs into application and operational requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office 365
• Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
• Creative, resourceful and able to take initiative
• Able to multi-task, maintain accuracy and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate team player who is also able to work independently with little supervision
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service
