Data Engineer

The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for design, architecture, documentation, and development of scalable data models. Adapts Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to accommodate changes in source systems and to respond to changes in business requirements. Takes ownership of the data specification “dictionary” and ensures that data feeds continue to meet this specification. Ensures consistency and accuracy of KPI metrics through continuous monitoring of data quality. Identification and prioritisation of data quality issues and alignment with business change projects and BAU Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting. Performs ad hoc analytical tasks to support business analysts and the introduction of new analytical models. Works closely and collaboratively with data access and reporting teams, data curators, business analysts, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to implement modern data architectures of the highest quality.

• Coordinates activities within own responsibility area
•  Contributes to specification reviews
•  Manages tools, methods and processes linked to the job
•  Estimates work amounts in own area
• Consults, supports and guides own teams external interfaces including needed customer support
• Is responsible for sharing knowledge and training in his / her expertise area
• Gives input to or participates in process development
•  Does problem isolation and resolution
•  Participates in relevant technical studies
• Can develop software, understands testing and quality assurance concepts. Knows and applies Nokia QA processes
   

• Willingness to learn and search for solutions for non-standard tasks  
• Experience in use of Microsoft Access, Excel and VBA 
• Experience in use of Microsoft database technologies (Microsoft Azure, MS SQL Server and T-SQL) and querying languages (PowerQuery) 
• Experience in use of Microsoft Power Solutions 
• Experience in ML area
• 3-5 years directly related experience and a graduate equivalent degree.
