About The Role:As a Senior Project Delivery Manager, you play a critical role in leading the client planning and delivery of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) client engagements for AltaML’s GovLab.ai. You will work with senior client stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations as well as with the team to scope and manage projects, drive the removal of roadblocks during projects, manage key stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of projects with a focus on offering excellence in customer experience.  You will be responsible for helping to build and mature the practice of project delivery. 
About the The GovLab.aiWe transform the way you think about applied AI for the public sector.  Teams are structured around projects for the public sector, guided by the Project Delivery Manager, Product Owner, and Senior machine learning developers, to provide working models to support informed strategic decision-making around the use of key AI technologies in the public sector.

Responsibilities As it relates to supporting Sales activities:

• Contribute to the development of Statements of Work
• Contribute to project estimation
• Work directly with client Project Managers and Sponsors to identify new opportunities and develop long term relationship building

Responsibilities as it relates to executing Project Delivery Practice Management activities:

• Contribute to the development of new processes, templates and standards
• Assist with governance and management of the Project Delivery technology platform
• Contribute to Resource Planning activities
• Contribute to Portfolio level reporting activities

Responsibilities as it relates to executing Project Delivery activities:

• Maintain relationships with client Project Managers and sponsors 
• Provide advice on the application of AI to client leaders
• Contribute to account strategy
• Create and maintain project and resource plans
• Manage project financials
• Coordinate and facilitate governance and project meetings
• Prepare project status reports
• Provide quality review of client deliverables
• Work with the client and the team to identify solutions to challenges and roadblocks that come up
• Lead team through all phases of the project from concept to deployment
• Lead project lessons learned reviews to evaluate project success and recommend process improvements

Skills and Experience:

• At least 5 years in project management roles
• At least 1 year in consulting or equivalent experience providing advice to senior leaders 
• Knowledge of one or more of the following industries: Forestry, Health, Public Sector, Oil & Gas, Construction, Insurance, Financial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services, or Information Technology
• Foundational knowledge of AI/ML (Business level)
• Knowledge of technology implementations
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Superior client relationship skills
