Position Overview

We are seeking a Graph Data Engineer to help us design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance graph data solution. In this role, you will work closely with other data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to develop graph-based models and leverage Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, and cloud infrastructure tools to create efficient data pipelines and services. You will also play a pivotal role in architecting and optimizing our AWS-based infrastructure and contribute to our CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain graph data architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and maintain scalable, high-performance REST APIs to integrate and expose graph data services.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and services like ArangoDB or other graph databases.
  • Implement automation and configuration management using Ansible to ensure the stability and scalability of the infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Utilize Git for version control and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
  • Ensure that all graph data models and services are highly performant, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve performance issues across the stack, including graph databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in graph data technologies and best practices, and continuously suggest improvements to the team.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot for building backend services and APIs.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Amazon Neptune, ArangoDB, Neo4j or other graph-based solutions).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for managing cloud resources.
  • Expertise in configuring and automating infrastructure using Ansible.
  • Experience with version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of data architecting concepts, including data modeling, storage solutions, and performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to software engineering.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in collaborative team environments.
