Sinch is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data Warehouse team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the data infrastructure that powers our Modern Data Warehouse and all our products globally. In this role, you will help design and build scalable, reliable data systems that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that integrate data from corporate systems (CRM, Billing, etc.) into the enterprise data warehouse using Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, and Snowflake.
  • Optimize data pipeline performance and scalability, ensuring high availability and reliability across all systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring production systems are healthy and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the enterprise data warehouse with new capabilities that meet evolving business needs.
  • Build highly scalable, distributed data systems that are globally available.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our data architecture.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data engineering.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Snowflake, and data storage solutions like Delta Lake or Iceberg.
  • Deep understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture (experience with DBT Cloud and Databricks is a plus).
  • Expertise in SQL and data modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $102,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
