iGenius is seeking a PR & Media Relations Specialist for EMEA who will be responsible for expanding our company’s influence in public discourse by building and nurturing relationships with key journalists, media outlets, and industry stakeholders. Embedded within the Product Marketing team, you will proactively position the company within relevant media conversations, helping us amplify our messaging to the right audiences. This role can be based in Milan or Brussels, and frequent travels within the EMEA region may be required to support media relations activities across various countries.
You will play a key role in securing media coverage, identifying opportunities to insert our company’s perspective into industry discussions, and contributing to the visibility of our executives through thought leadership pieces. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to create compelling, media-friendly narratives and ensure our company's presence across top-tier tech and business media outlets.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute PR strategies to increase brand awareness and media coverage across the tech sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets specializing in AI and technology.
- Proactively identify media opportunities to position the company’s perspective on industry trends, news, and relevant conversations.
- Secure media placements in top-tier business and tech publications.
- Write and pitch thought leadership articles, feature stories, and press releases on behalf of company executives.
- Handle inbound press inquiries, managing the company’s response to media requests.
- Create compelling media pitches and maintain a steady stream of communication with journalists and media partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on key messaging and media strategies.
- Monitor and report on media coverage and PR campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the company’s owned channels, such as the corporate blog, social media, and newsletters, to further amplify the company’s thought leadership content.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or journalism, ideally in the tech sector.
- Proven ability to secure high-profile media coverage in top-tier publications, especially within the tech, AI, or business sectors.
- Strong storytelling and editorial skills, with experience creating content for executive audiences.
- Established relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers in the tech and business space.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and create media-friendly stories that resonate with broad audiences.
- Experience handling inbound press inquiries and responding strategically to media requests.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in using media monitoring and PR tools.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Italian (written and verbal); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
