PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $114,300.00-$139,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $88,700.00 - $165,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

You will design and optimize data infrastructure, create dynamic reports, and uncover key insights that drive meaningful change. Your work will help enhance the member experience, identify new opportunities, and influence strategic initiatives. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.   

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Solve Data Challenges: Troubleshoot and resolve data, system, and performance issues to ensure seamless reporting and analytics.
  • Optimize Data Infrastructure: Configure and fine-tune Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to improve efficiency and performance in our data warehousing architecture.
  • Uncover Insights: Analyze large datasets from internal and external sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that enhance decision-making.
  • Build Meaningful Data Solutions: Develop and maintain ETL specifications, data maps, and process documentation to support reporting and business analytics.
  • Lead Small-Scale Projects: Manage and execute projects that enhance reporting capabilities, ensuring smooth implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Design Engaging Dashboards: Create interactive and insightful dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Refine Processes & Efficiency: Define, implement, and improve development processes to enhance technology efficiency and BI maturity.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy & Consistency: Partner with cross-functional teams to document and standardize data sources, formats, and business rules.
  • Establish Best Practices: Develop policies and procedures for the effective use of BI solutions, ensuring reliability and accessibility of data-driven insights.
  • Drive BI Adoption: Translate business needs into technical solutions and actively promote the use of BI tools across departments.
  • Collaborate on Enterprise Data Initiatives: Partner with project leads to align business intelligence efforts with enterprise data strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Business, Statistics, or equivalent work or educational experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in data mining and working with large-scale, complex datasets.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus but not required.
  • Expertise with data visualization and reporting.
  • Experience in the full analytics project lifecycle, from data extraction to visualization.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools such as Alteryx or Informatica.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing or other cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS for data analysis.
  • Experience building front-end tools such as Microsoft Forms or Power Automate.
  • Advanced SQL skills with demonstrated ability to write optimized queries.
  • Understanding of data governance and data stewardship best practices.
  • Experience working in financial services or member-focused organizations.
