As a Senior Quantitative Behavioral Scientist leads research studies and disseminates the findings to improve employee wellness and inform industry standards.

Responsibilities 

  • Complete complex quantitative modeling and analyses, such as machine learning and structural equation modeling, in addition to showing a firm grasp of foundational common descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics

  • Conduct analyses in one of the programming languages commonly used for data manipulation and computational statistics such as Python, R, SQL

  • Lead secondary research to support existing projects as well as proposals for new bodies of work.

  • Own efforts to synthesize research findings to identify and recommend best practices.

  • Tackle complex challenges in ambiguous space and pursue new avenues of research when appropriate.

  • Design and execute E2E research studies to investigate topics related to employee wellness.

    • Prioritize and conduct research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodology across multiple work streams, making sure to work on the right project at the right time.

    • Manage projects, timelines, and stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth implementation and timely completion of projects.

    • Follow established human subject research guidelines and study protocols to recruit and screen employees for eligibility in study participation. 

    • Extract, collect, and aggregate data across databases, information sources, survey responses, and other data sources

    • Ensure data quality by cleaning and checking for consistency and accuracy.

    • Accurately deploy empirical research methods and conduct appropriate analyses, such as survey research, A/B testing, interviews, usability testing, and focus groups.

    • Develop clear and impactful data visualizations for nontechnical audiences.

    • Prepare and write succinct and easy-to-understand business reports as well as academic manuscripts.

    • Present research findings and communicate key business insights for both internal and external audiences.

  • Lead and guide collaborations on cross-functional projects, coordinate across departments and geos, and work in a larger team to ensure business impact.

  • Demonstrate outstanding ability at balancing the need for quick turnaround with longer-term strategic efforts.

  • Mentor and teach junior colleagues with respect to technical and soft skills.

  • Provide valuable input regarding team structure, processes, and growth, and own certain initiatives to improve research operations.

  • Make autonomous decisions and influence projects, initiatives, and strategic directions in the organization by becoming well-known for technical expertise and showcasing the values of research

  • Establish thought leadership by representing the Division of Research both internally and externally

  • Work outside of traditional working hours and travel as needed to collaborate with international stakeholders.

Minimum Job Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Sociology, Ethnography, Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Mathematics or related field, plus 6 years of experience in an applied research setting.

  • Expertise in experimental design and common descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, including t-test, ANOVA, regression, chi-square analyses.

  • Expertise in complex statistical analyses such as machine learning and structural equation modeling.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and basic familiarity with lean and agile methodologies, as well as business/product development cycles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Statistics, Mathematics, Human-Computer Interaction or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience conducting cross-functional human subjects research, managing projects, and working in a fast-paced industry setting.

Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel: 
Remote
Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or client engagements, as per business needs.
