Mission of the Role

In the future, drones will be utilized across various industries and become an essential part of our daily lives. Our goal is to change people's perception of drones and expand the horizons of drone applications. We are looking for a Senior Sensor Firmware Engineer to join our team as a key player in driving technical excellence. As a Senior Sensor Firmware Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our technology initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing camera modules and sensor package. You will leverage your expertise to design and implement robust and reliable systems, ensuring optimal performance of our hardware products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Bring-up of image sensors and camera modules

• Bring-up of ISP application processors and its peripherals(PMIC, Memory, IMUs, etc)

• Develop embedded firmware with ISP application/image bridge processors and MCUs 

• Optimize the performance of image processing

• Develop communication interfaces(MIPI, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.)

• Bootloader implementation of various products

• Collaborate with hardware and software teams within the company

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical, electronics, computer science, or related fields

• 10+ years of experience in developing image-processing applications

• Extensive experience in image and video signal processing, imaging embedded systems, including ISP and machine learning algorithms.

• Proficient in C, C++, Python, and shell scripts with a strong understanding of various programming languages

• Proficient in computer architecture, embedded software, device drivers, operating systems, and Linux

• Proactive and self-driven individual who thrives in a rapidly changing environment

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English to collaborate with U.S. team

Optional Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in electrical, electronics, computer science, or other engineering disciplines

• Proficient in ROS and PX4 flight stack algorithms

• Experience in image quality tuning in autonomous driving products 

• Experience in Qualcomm AP

• Experience in the development of gimbals, custom micro flight control units, or extensive customization of the PX4 flight stack

• Knowledge and experience in Linux firmware and Linux-based systems, manufacturing processes, and field troubleshooting
