About the Role    

We are looking for an ambitious Data Analyst, who wants to make a strong impact while conducting various analyses and research projects, highly influencing the business aspects of the company, works at a fast pace, demonstrates creative thinking, and knows how to clearly convey the conclusions to both highly technological stakeholders and executive business stakeholders.

This individual will join the research and Portfolio Management department, and will be part of a team that has both data scientists and data analysts, focusing on the company's main credit products and working closely with the production environment.

In this role, you will monitor the company’s KPIs and analyze the company portfolio risk and performance and develop risk mitigation and performance optimization solutions using ML and statistical tools while considering diverse metrics and dimensions. You will be a primary contributor to Pagaya’s portfolio management forum, delivering data-driven recommendations that enhance decision-making with material business impact

In this role you will join one of the key teams with high impact and influence on Pagaya's production and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Track company’s KPIs and financial metrics to evaluate portfolio risk and performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Perform detailed analyses, design and implement data-driven solutions for optimizing the portfolio's risk and performance, using data science tools, Python , SQL and BI tools.
• Design and build monitoring and analytics tools.

• Work in a short life-cycle research and development environment.
• Generate and test working hypotheses in unexplored territory.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions, finding insights, telling the story behind the data, and clearly presenting it in English to different stakeholders.

• Work closely with data scientists, software developers, data professionals and partnerships to ensure data availability, accuracy, and receive inputs from ML methodologies and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven track record in analyzing data using Python and SQL.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or other quantitative disciplines required.
• Deeply driven and enthusiastic about learning and shaping impactful business decisions.
• Strong expertise in analyzing complex datasets to track trends, behaviors, and patterns across diverse metrics.
• Capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively, thriving in high-pressure environments.
