The opportunity to join our team

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to design, build, and maintain data acquisition pipelines and integrations that will power our marketing initiatives. In this role, you'll contribute to building new marketing tech and data, integration, AI capabilities all in support of seamless data flow across the organisation that enables our business to delight our clients.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders, enterprise data teams, architects, and infrastructure specialists to support successful project outcomes and maintain a stable, efficient data environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Solution Designers and Data Architects to develop data pipelines that support marketing and business objectives
  • Leverage expertise in modern marketing technology to enhance decisioning engines, personalisation and core marketing processes
  • Work with enterprise Data Engineering teams to align solutions with strategic enterprise direction and approved frameworks
  • Develop, analyse and test data acquisition pipelines from enterprise and external sources, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Enhance engineering processes, manage technical debt, and oversee vendor teams while maintaining best practices and contributing to Agile ceremonies


What You Bring to This Role

We’re looking for someone who understands the connection of marketing technology and data engineering—someone who can integrate third-party solutions while also building the underlying infrastructure to support them. This role involves understanding business objectives, customer needs, and the "why" behind data initiatives, with a strong focus on automation. While there are no direct reports, you’ll be part of a data community, collaborating with the team and contributing to expanding resources under a newly established senior role. 

 

Key skills & Experience: 

  • A strong background in data engineering, with knowledge in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines that support marketing and business needs 
  • Hands-on experience with marketing technology solutions, including core marketing platforms, decisioning engines, CRM systems and personalisation tools 
  • Strong collaboration skills, working alongside enterprise data teams, solution designers, and architects to develop data-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives 
  • Capability in data integration, acquisition, and transformation, ensuring performance, scalability and reliability  
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on optimising engineering processes, managing technical debt, and improving data workflows 
  • A proactive approach to working in Agile environments, contributing to development best practices and engaging with cross-functional teams
