  • Works with stakeholders inside the company as well as external customers to identify opportunities for leveraging meaningful data to drive business solutions.
  • This position analyzes and mines complex structured and unstructured data sets using advanced statistical methods to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • The Senior Data Scientist leads a team of developers, data scientists and/or analysts to accomplish the goals of the focus area.
  • Leading team to write and maintain software programs and data processes, developing ETL/ELT pipelines, using predictive modeling, building new processes to collect data and build tools to automate data.
  • Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources.
  • Oversees data modeling and management.
  • Develops machine learning/deep learning/NLP/CV models to apply to data.
  • Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance.
  • Performs research, analysis and data modeling on organizational data.
  • Reviews reports from analysis and findings for use in decision making and makes recommendations.
  • Oversees solutions for ad hoc reporting using languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Recommends and deploys programmatic solutions for automation and other business needs.
  • Guides team to write SQL queries create tables and generate visual plots.
  • Uses visual studios to create SSRS reporting.
  • Manages software developers.

 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in computer science; plus 3 years of experience as a data scientist.
  • Knowledge of theories and implementation of various AI subfields such as classical machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, Generative AI and LLMs.
  • Building and leading data-based projects from the ground up.
  • Large scale data processing with tools like DataBricks, Hive, Cassandra, GFS, Hadoop or Pandas.
  • Knowledge of data processing, software testing, software documentation and building data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of relational database and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of utilization of software version control.
  • At least two years of experience working with cloud providers and the utilization of Project Management tools.
  • Working knowledge of AGILE software development, web-scraping tools, web development frameworks and API tools.
