In this pivotal role, you will play a central role in shaping Quintet's enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving data-driven innovation. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cutting-edge data solutions, leveraging modern technologies. Key Accountabilities
Data Strategy
- Contribute to the development of a data & Analytics strategy that aligns with business goals, emphasizing the creation of value through data-driven insights. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining Quintet’s data architecture framework, ensuring it supports strategic business objectives and drives innovation across the organization
Architecture Development
- Architect scalable, agile, interoperable and secure data platforms and pipelines, integrating structured, unstructured, and real-time data sources.
- Develop and enforce best practices for data modeling, metadata management, semantic layer design, and data integration across the bank.
- Design and optimize data flows between critical systems, core banking platforms, such as CRM, analytics systems, and regulatory reporting tools.
- Ensure that solutions are cloud-native and future-ready, leveraging platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku or Microsoft Fabric.
- Implementation a MDM (Master Data Management) solutions, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and governance across the bank.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
- Partner with cross-functional teams of data engineers, analysts, and technologists to implement architecture designs.
- Engage with stakeholders from Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, HR, Front Office and IT to ensure regulatory alignment and robust security.
Innovation & Emerging Technologies
- Stay ahead of the curve by assessing emerging trends in data, AI, and machine learning and their applicability to banking.
- Spearhead innovation initiatives, such as real-time analytics, AI-driven insights, and predictive data modeling.
- Advocate for modern data architecture patterns, such as data mesh, data fabric, and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge and Experience
- Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Statistics
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or a related role, with significant exposure to financial services or regulated industries
- Proven experience leading large-scale data transformations in complex, multi-business environments
- Experience implementing AI/ML pipelines or integrating advanced analytics tools into operational workflows

- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on balancing innovation and risk.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset balanced with the ability to work independently
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in data architecture design, encompassing operational, analytical, and streaming use cases, with hands-on experience in leading platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Dataiku
- Mastery of data technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, ETL tools, Apache Spark, Kafka, and modern API frameworks
- Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards
- Familiarity with modern banking innovations, such as Open Banking, ESG data reporting, or real-time payment systems
Languages Skills
- Fluent in English
- French, German, Dutch (an advantage)
