Job Description Summary

We are currently seeking a talented Data Architect and Engineer who will design, develop, and maintains data solutions across APAC Advisory products. The Data Architect will be responsible for ensuring data quality, security, scalability, and performance of the data products and collaborate with product managers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand the business requirements and translate them into data models and architectures.

About The Role:

• Define a robust and scalable data architecture to manage data according to formal concepts, principles, and techniques within the governance platform
• Facilitate and promote the design and development of high-quality data resources within the data architecture to meet current and future business data and information needs
• Collaborate with other TDS teams for the design, development, and implementation of data models, data flows, data life cycle, and overall data management leading practices in a complex environment
• Communicate data methodology, architecture, and results to stakeholders
• Define and document the data architecture, data models, data dictionaries and data flows for all APAC Advisory Data Products.
• Integrate various APAC Advisory data sources with internal and external data sets and other data platforms, such as Microsoft Azure Data Lakehouse, using APIs, ETL tools, connectors.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness and consistency across our APAC Advisory Products.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.
• Support data governance initiatives and collaborate with other Data Leaders in TDS and the business to establish and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices.
• Provide data expertise and guidance to business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and analysts.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data architecture, big data, and cloud solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices for data management and architecture within the organization.
• Act as a thought leader and mentor within the data architecture team and broader organization

Responsibilities:

• Provide Data Architecture, Design and Engineering support for our suite of applications and products on multiple digital platforms and products.
• Develop and conceptualize comprehensive data architecture and design elements for key products.
• Design and implement a comprehensive data lake strategy that aligns with the organization's overall data vision.
• Develop and maintain data modelling standards, frameworks, and best practice.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools for Data Lake, Lakehouse or Data Warehouse development and management
• Create a Marketplace to tell users what data we have, where we have it, what services we can provide and what our capabilities are.
• Create a comprehensive APAC Advisory Data Dictionary, cataloguing data values, source systems and map data lineage through the ecosystem, including naming conventions and usage of data point in processes and platforms
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data models.
• Ensure data models support analytics, reporting, and operational needs across various departments.
• Select appropriate database technologies and design schemas to support application and analytics needs.
• Support development of an Integration Strategy to integrate data from APAC Advisory applications with other data platforms, such as Microsoft Azure Data Lakehouse, using APIs, ETL tools, connectors.
• Ensure data architecture, data models, data dictionaries and data flows for our Salesforce CRM and Advisory Products are optimized and support Data Governance and Data Quality requirements.
• Take responsibility for all data migration, integration, testing and validation planning and activities for APAC Advisory products.
• Produce high-quality responsive design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Designs a data model and architecture that supports development and scaling of new Data and AI products for APAC Advisory.
• Responsible for partnering and delivering data governance, data integration, data warehousing and data analytics best practices for APAC Advisory.
• Ensure best practices are followed for data quality, security, scalability and performance of the data systems and products.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand the business requirements and translate them into data models and architectures.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness and consistency across our APAC Advisory data products.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.
• Provide data expertise and guidance to APAC Advisory business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and analysts.

About You:

The Candidate will have significant experience of defining, implementing, and documenting the data architecture, data models, data dictionaries and data flows. The ability to work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and analysts to understand the data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet the business needs and expectations is critical.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in managing data platforms and data architecture, data modeling, or related roles, with a focus on data lakes and APAC Advisory data strategies.
• Experience in implementing and managing a Microsoft Azure Data Lakehouse integrating data with other data platforms.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, SQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and application development frameworks is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data integration techniques, and data governance frameworks.
• Experience with SDLC and project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile or Scrum) is a plus
• Knowledge of key data domains in Corporate Real Estate, such as Client, Customer, Property and People
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skill
