We are seeking a skilled GIS Solutions Architect to enhance our GIS capabilities and support the integration of geospatial data and tools into the commercial real estate processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining GIS applications and tools, with a strong focus on analyzing and visualizing spatial data to drive business decisions.Job Description
Responsibilities:
GIS Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain GIS-based applications and web platforms to support real estate research, property management, and business operations.
Data Integration and Management: Collect, process, and manage diverse data sources, including property data, market trends, demographic information, and transportation networks while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Customization & Integration: Develop customized GIS tools and scripts using Python, JavaScript, SQL or other programming languages to automate workflows and integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems.
Data Analysis & Visualization: Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate geospatial insights to stakeholders across the organization.
Collaboration: Work closely with business units, analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements, deliver tailored GIS solutions, and provide technical support.
Support: Provide technical support and training to users on various GIS tools and applications.
Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with various GIS software platforms, specifically the Esri suite (e.g., Arc Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online).
General understanding of large-scale GIS environments as it relates to performance, stability, optimization and scalability for potentially hundreds of users.
Understanding of server architecture, most importantly implementing GIS technologies in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
Familiarity with an assortment of spatial data formats (e.g., Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, etc.) and spatial analysis techniques.
Knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, REST APIs) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, etc.)
Ability to create out-of-the-box as well as custom map applications using a variety of Application Program Interfaces (API) and Software Development Kits (SDK).
Strong automation/scripting skills (Python, ArcPy, ArcGIS Notebooks, etc.) for geospatial data processing.
Experience with geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server, etc.) or other relational database management systems, with the ability to manage, manipulate and blend data for use in a GIS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience as a GIS “professional”, preferably within commercial real estate or related industry.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) as integrated with GIS.
Experience with data integration, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of internal and external customers.
Familiarity with data science and machine learning techniques.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
