Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
Ownership
Ownership of Data & Platforms across Europe. Platforms include data cleanroom and other customer activation platforms. Which have been identified as a strategic investment area and is a critically important system used by major European markets.
Be responsible for the roadmap and architecture of the platform, to ensure it meets todays and future business needs. Key focus for 2025 is to transform our digital capability with the power of AI, automation and machine learning
Lead the delivery of projects that introduce new platforms/capability and enhance existing platforms that deliver business return on investment.
Lead the supplier relationship (key supplier that provides application and hardware support), consultancy agencies and HQ technical delivery teams. Ensuring all SLAs (e.g. availability, system performance) are met and improved upon.
Strategy
To define and deliver data & platform strategy to increase sales through data-collaboration with third parties
Architecture
To define the platform roadmap to consolidate and integrate all the data-collaboration platforms.
Data Architecture to highlight new data points into data cleanroom platforms, and to activate new campaigns/services using this new data
Delivery
New capabilities: To procure and implement new data cleanroom platforms
Enhancements to existing capability: Turn on new platform features and bring together/exploit new customer data so subs can deliver new campaigns/services
Integration: Integrate new channels and partners with existing partner and Samsung Platforms
Support and Maintenance: To ensure smooth running of existing data cleanroom platforms (handle, enhance, support)
Pilot/Innovation – partner with one or two subsidiary to trial new functionality, before rolling out to the wider European market. Looking at new and emerging technologies in order to improve the customer journey e.g. Integrate new media or third party platform with Samsung cleanrooms.
Analytics & insights: partner with cleanroom provider and analytics platforms to provide return on investment, ROAS, impressions, OR, etc across partner projects.
Supplier / Project Management
SLA management - To lead and handle the suppliers and HQ teams to deliver against and improve the Service Level Agreements for the data cleanroom.
Work within a complex, multi-vendor framework, including the European Digital/CDM teams, external partners and specialist delivery partners and agencies
In addition, we require experience with partnership relationships (retailer / telco)
Virtual team management of size over 20+ staff
Strategic alignment - Management of relationships with third party suppliers to ensure both technology and agencies are optimised for long term goals.
GDPR, e-privacy and compliance: To ensure awareness and compliance of self and team with the rules and requirements of relevant legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks
Engage and co-ordinate with multiple parts of the organisation (Marketing, Customer Service, Content & Services, Product Divisions, eCommerce, etc) and partner agencies to help define high value propositions Samsung can take to market.
Budget Management
Forecast spend and drive efficiencies
Raise Statement of Work and work with legal for approval
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the European Digital Directors and their teams to capture requirements to enhance data cleanroom platform, providing EO and Subs new capability to drive sales and customer retention
Work with the subs (Directors, Heads of) to determine overall business priorities and develop cases. To coordinate Europe office wide prioritisation and sequences the requirements backlog according to business value or return on investment
Be the primary contact point for subsidiaries in Europe and HQ for the European data cleanroom capabilities.
What we need for this role
Leadership - Experience of leading people to deliver projects through teams (direct and virtual), working at a regional level and effectively communicating value propositions with global and local collaborators
Strong technical background, leading technical teams
Track record in delivering data cleanrooms, analytics platforms & customer activation platforms.
Presented frequently to senior management (President/senior audience) to gain widespread support for organisational change initiatives to seek investment that delivers growth
Technology - Experience and knowledge of Data clean rooms (Decentriq, Infosum, Liveramp, etc), Enterprise Marketing Platforms (Adobe Marketing Cloud, Salesforce marketing cloud) & Analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Qlik).
Data – Experience with data manipulation & providing insights for media & CRM activations.
Strong Senior Stakeholder management experience, gained in complex, matrix and European/Global environment
Strong agency / team management skills; comfortable leading teams, providing creative feedback, driving performance.
Ability to involve people across the organisation, sell ideas and solve conflicts in a productive manner.
Demonstrated business results from delivering on-time and handling to large marketing budgets
Ability to work within a fast paced, high pressure environment
Ability to deliver through others and work without a ‘power base’
Big brand experience
Experience in data monetization
Fluent in other European languages
Worked with / exposure to Far East / Asian based organisations (desired)
AGILE certified/qualified or similar new project management methodology
Marketing platform/datacleanroom/analytical platform experience
What does success look like?
This role requires deep expertise in channel partner marketing, digital media strategies, and CRM integration. The ideal candidate will develop strategy and lead joint marketing initiatives, build strong external relationships, and contribute to overall business growth.
