Job Description:

The Robotics AI Lab (RAIL) at UPS is at the forefront of AI research and development, creating innovative solutions to revolutionize the future of delivery. RAIL is seeking a highly skilled AI scientist with a strong research or engineering background, advanced degrees, and expertise in AI, particularly Generative AI and Data Science. Ideal candidates are passionate about tackling complex problems and using AI research to transform traditional delivery networks.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Generative AI Product Development: Lead the development of generative AI solutions specifically tailored for our Logistics Operational AI Agent.
• Data Engineering: Perform large-scale data analysis to uncover product benefits and opportunities for enhancement.
• Innovative Problem Solving: Develop, deploy, and validate novel methodologies to address open-ended and complex challenges.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to brainstorm new ideas, design novel systems, and oversee their development and performance testing.

Knowledge and Skills

• 3+ years of experience in industry or research related to generative AI and machine learning.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience with data visualization.
• Experience with Google Cloud
• Effective collaborator within diverse teams and with colleagues of various backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with different business units and management levels.
