Our offer to you We offer a master thesis on the topic "Knowledge Extraction for Navigated Spinal Surgery". You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes for our surgical navigation system and support our team with your proof-of-concept application. You are an active member of our international and interdisciplinary Research & Development team. You will contribute to our state-of-the-art navigation and imaging system by using C++, Python and/or Matlab and implementing your solutions. Further, you will get to know and apply the latest technologies from the fields of machine learning, geometric algorithms, knowledge representation, and information retrieval. You will independently conduct research in the field of surgery and find out how innovative ideas can be applied in a value-adding way. What makes you stand out You are studying computer science, medical technology or a comparable course in your master's degree. You have gained experience with object-oriented programming languages and libraries/frameworks such as Qt, OpenCV, or VTK. You have a good understanding of mathematics. You want to deal with challenging tasks in the field of medical technology. You are known among friends and fellow students for being proactive and flexible. You have a good command of English. An independent way of working, a high level of motivation and commitment as well as the willingness to quickly take on responsibility characterize you. The work deals with current development topics, so a confidentiality note is necessary.
