Maxar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior OPIR Analyst to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) events and data, directly impacting our program's effectiveness and mission success.

As a Senior OPIR Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our algorithms team, contributing to the enhancement of our near real-time data fusion capabilities. Your work will provide vital insights into the performance of our software, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of OPIR events and associated data to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.

  • Evaluate and assess the performance of our near real-time data fusion system.

  • Collaborate with the algorithms team to refine and improve software capabilities based on analytical findings.

  • Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for optimizing algorithms and software performance.

  • Identify and document gaps in data and analytical capabilities.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and briefings on analysis results and system performance.

  • Help to create and update profiles for vehicle systems as the need arises.

  • Work with software developers to provide feedback as changes are implemented into applications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in OPIR analysis or related fields.

  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing data from OPIR systems.

  • Proven experience with near real-time data fusion systems and techniques.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Experience working with software engineers to provide feedback and validate technical implementations.

  • Experience with a scripting language like Python, MATLAB, or similar.

  • Must be able to work on-site in Aurora, Colorado.

  • Strong understanding of signal processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Remote Sensing, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.

  • Experience with specific OPIR systems and platforms.

  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in data analysis.

  • Experience with geospatial analysis.

  • Experience conducting pattern of life analysis.

  • Experience briefing government leadership.

In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.  The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $119,000.00 - $199,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
