Education required: Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, Engineering or related fields.

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in Italian and English.

Expected Start date: April/May 2025.

Internship period: 6 months

What will you do?

You will work side by side with global expert data scientists/machine learning engineers to explore, optimize and support the implementation of Process Analytical Technologies (PATs) through the application of multivariate data analysis and machine learning algorithms to spectroscopic data. In addition, you will contribute to performing data analyses in partnership with Research and Development departments, document, report and communicate results in the form of technical documents and presentations.

What will you learn?

You will develop competencies related to data science, multivariate data analysis, chemometrics and machine learning applied to vaccines drug substance and drug product processes as well as fluency with the most common statistical tools and programming languages used in pharma industry. Besides that, you will take familiarity with vaccines development principles.

What are we looking for?

  • Good knowledge of Python (Matlab is a plus).

  • Knowledge of version control tools.

  • Some experience with HPC/cloud computing is a plus.

  • Good knowledge of Statistics, Design of Experiments, Multivariate Data Analysis and Machine Learning.

  • Ability to deliver clear communications and foster excellent working relationships with peers and management.

  • Good team player – works well in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.

  • Problem-solving skills driven by curiosity.
