**This position is office-centric **Responsible for the end-to-end management of compromised data/privacy incidents, ensuring incidents are assessed, escalated, remediated, and documented in alignment with regulatory and internal governance standards. This role requires strong incident response expertise, process improvement capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration to drive consistency and efficiency in incident management across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead the end-to-end management of compromised data/privacy incidents from confirmation through closure, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with regulatory and risk management requirements
2. Triage, assess and prioritize incidents based on impact and urgency, escalating critical events, as needed
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (cybersecurity, Privacy, Legal, compliance, Tech, and Business Units) to ensure incidents are addressed efficiently
4. Ensure regulatory reporting obligations are met, including disclosure to regulatory agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders as required
5. Serve as primary point of contact for incident response regarding compromised data incidents, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the resolution process
6. Facilitate post-incident reviews, to identify root causes, lessons learned, and future prevention strategies
7. Document incident response procedures to ensure alignment with best practices and internal policies
8. Develop and refine playbooks for compromised data and privacy incident management
9. Partner with stakeholders to identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements, driving efficiency, automation, and consistency in incident handling
10. Collaborate with process owners to implement enhancements that reduce response times, standardize response processes, and mitigate risks
11. Ensure all incident processes align with industry frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., NYDFS, SEC, FINDRA, GLBA, CCPA, etc.)
12. Maintain a strong understanding of financial services regulatory expectations, ensuring compliance with all relevant reporting and documentation requirements
13. Engage with stakeholders across the bank to ensure a target-state vision for data compromise/privacy incident response is deployed
14. Analyze available data and find the root cause of the problem.
15. Develop technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Provides users with progress updates.
16. Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of the highest complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and make recommendations.
17. Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical/process expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in development or support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Specialized knowledge of data technologies (ETL, Data warehouse, Databases, SAS and other Analytics tools).
3. Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities and ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
4. Deep knowledge of ITIL process.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree and 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Proven experience running incident response processes from start to finish, including process design and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Strong understanding of regulator and compliance frameworks related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and financial services
4. Experience working with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on incident response strategy and execution.
5. Excellent documentation and process development skills, ensuring clear and accurate reflection of business workflows.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.
7. Experience with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Archer, XSOAR)
8. Relevant IAPP Certifications
9. Prior experience in regulatory-driven environments, such as banking, insurance, or investment firms
