The world’s economy looks to CDP as the gold standard of environmental reporting with the richest and most comprehensive dataset on corporate and city action. In 2024 more than 24,000 companies, representing around 70% of the global market capitalization, and 1000 Cities, States and Regions disclosed their environmental impact data through CDP. In 2023 CDP underwent a complete digital transformation, seeing us transition the annual disclosure cycle from a paper-based, human-intensive and vendor-dependent stack, to a completely in-house developed, modernised and scalable product that will revolutionise the customer-experience for both external and internal users.

About the Data Analytics Team

The role sits within the Data Analytic team which comprise of more than 20 data analysts working across CDP to deliver a series or innovative data products and data analytical services for internal and external stakeholders including Capital Markets, Cities, States and Regions and Supply Chain clients. Along with the team, you will help develop and deliver exciting and impactful insights projects as well as support day-to-day operations via servicing of ad-hoc requests from across the organisation.

The Business Insights Squad consist of three data analysts reporting directly to the Squad Lead. In this role you will work closely with your squad, the broader team and stakeholders from across the organization including finance, marketing, comms, commercial, operations and technology to develop and operationalise impactful metrics and insights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop cloud-based insights scripts and pipelines using SQL, PySpark and Notebooks.
  • Create clear and impactful one-source of truth insights and visualizations in PowerBI.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of data feeding into the metrics, KPIs and dashboards.
  • Effectively manage you work and workflows in Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and operationalise KPIs across a variety of business areas and functions.
  • Help develop predictive models - regression, forecasting, time-series analysis.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, plan/manage the backlog and test features.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure requirements are met in a smooth and efficient manner.

We would like to see the following skills and experience:

  • Strong ability to code within SQL, Python, PySpark and Notebooks.
  • At least 2 years of applied experience with data analytics and/or data science.
  • Excellent data visualisation skills and experience working with PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience working with cloud computing in Azure or similar platforms.
  • Capable of working collaboratively with Git and DevOps.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to convey complex methodology and concepts to non-data experts in English.
  • Great attention to detail and commitment to achieving high standards.
  • Domain expertise in product analytics, business analytics and/or marketing intelligence is desirable.

This is a permanent, full-time role based either at the CDP office in London or the CDP office in Berlin, reporting to the Squad Lead: Business Intelligence.

Salary and benefits:
£40,000 - £47,000 per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits. Final offer amount depends on multiple factors such as candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. Benefits will be offered based on specific regional requirements.
