Description

As a Data Analyst at simpleclub, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. Working closely with business, marketing, and product teams, you will build and maintain scalable analytics solutions, automate reporting processes, and ensure data integrity.

How will you make an impact:

  • You advise on the right KPIs and reportings, proactively challenge the status quo and introduce change in coordination with you stakeholders
  • Drive data by owning and maintaining the BigQuery infrastructure to support Business, Marketing and Product analytics.
  • Redesign and automate existing spreadsheet-based reportings by migrating data to the data warehouse for streamlined analytics.
  • Develop and enforce data governance practices, including documentation, validation, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
  • Develop and maintain data transformation. Design and implement scalable data models that are easy for stakeholders to query and understand.
  • Build and optimize dashboards using Tableau and other BI tools to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into data-driven projects.
  • Prioritise and organise your work in alignment with stakeholders in Leadership, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Product.
  • Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement the latest data technologies and best practices to enhance the organization’s data infrastructure, automation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple data sources.
  • Act as the internal thought leader for data strategy, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of data-driven decision-making.

What we value:

  • Experience in end-to-end data architectures: including data warehousing, pipeline automation, and analytics.
  • Advanced Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery: Demonstrated expertise in writing complex queries and managing data warehousing solutions.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT tools (e.g.Fivetran) for efficient data processing and automation.
  • Expertise in Data Visualization Tools: Skilled in creating insightful visualizations using tools like Tableau to effectively communicate data findings.
  • Proficiency in Programming Languages: Knowledge of Python and/or R to facilitate advanced data analysis and automation.
  • Strong Understanding of Data Governance and Security: Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data classification rules, masking, encryption, and handling sensitive data within data warehouses.
  • Solid Foundation in Statistics: Ability to apply statistical concepts, including cohort anlaysis, to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Project and Stakeholder Management: Experienced in self-organization, managing multiple data projects, and effectively engaging with stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present data findings to non-technical stakeholders through both written and verbal communication.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Business; a master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Industry Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields, preferably within a B2B SaaS for the education or HR tech industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM Platforms: Understanding of CRM systems like HubSpot/Salesforce to be able to structure, extract, and utilize data for our revenue operations.

💰Your salary: We 💙 transparency. We have different levels within our salary bands, and we use these levels to determine a fair salary for each range. Your salary is reviewed at least once a year.The salary band for this role in Germany is: 66.980 - 90.620 EUR annually gross. If you live outside of Germany, we will adapt to your local market.
We have implemented salary bands in all job descriptions to ensure we treat all employees fairly. Once we get to know each other better and understand your skills and experience during the interview process, we will be able to evaluate where you would fit within the salary band.
