Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, sales, HR, finance, legal, IT teams, and systems owners, with the goal of identifying and prioritizing business goals. - Data Architecture and Modeling: Take full ownership of the data architecture, designing and developing robust data models for diverse datasets. This includes crafting a Reference Data Enterprise Data Model and a Knowledge Graph platform, pivotal for integrating data across the organization.
- System Documentation and Visualization: Clearly document and visualize existing and newly designed systems, ensuring maintainability and knowledge transfer. This involves creating comprehensive documentation and visual representations of data flows, system architectures, and data models.
- Data Process Optimization and Modernization: Streamline and optimize data processes across all product lines, encompassing data creation, preparation, and delivery.
- Technical Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data architecture, including emerging technologies, trends, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional data management staff, fostering their professional development.
- Data Governance and Standards: Contribute to the development and implementation of robust data governance policies and standards, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Tool Evaluation and Selection: Participate in the evaluation and selection of appropriate data management tools and technologies, aligning them with the organization's needs and strategic objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of Data Architecture initiatives and identify areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Integration with Existing Systems: Ensure seamless integration of optimized processes with existing ERP, CRM, and HR systems.
- Stakeholder Management: employ techniques to ensure stakeholders’ needs and expectations are understood and managed; potential conflicts or issues are identified and addressed early on; and build trust and foster collaboration for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Prioritization: evaluate the relative value of BPM and EA initiatives by evaluating against a set of developed criteria; and ensuring that potential conflicts in priorities with stakeholder groups are discussed, evaluated and agreed collaboratively.

Education & Training
- Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: While this role is applicable across various industries, experience in the media and entertainment sector is highly desirable. Experience with data management in a global context is a plus.
- Desirable Certifications: Professional certifications in data architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Architect) and data management (e.g., CDMP) are highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory, with fluency in local languages relevant to Nielsen's global operations being a plus.

- Data Architecture Experience: 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, or data engineering, with a strong focus on designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Leadership and Collaboration: 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, mentoring and guiding technical teams. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including business units, technical teams, and external partners.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically about data architecture, aligning data solutions with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Data Modeling Expertise: Extensive experience with data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Proficiency in various data modeling techniques and notations.
- Data Integration and Migration: Experience with data integration and migration projects, including designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions. Strong project management skills, with experience in leading complex transformation projects.
- Experience in change management and user training for systems implementations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and IT.
- Experience in working with global teams and managing diverse stakeholder groups. Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
- Ability to evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, including understanding contractual terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and negotiation skills.
