Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager to join our Tax Reporting & Analytics team at KPMG Global Services (KGS). The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team lead in managing data-driven projects, ensuring data quality, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management and Analysis:

• Collaborate with team members to manage and analyze large datasets from various sources.
• Design and build data models and schemas for storage and retrieval of structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Perform advanced data analysis and generate insights to support business decisions.
• Create visualizations, data solutions and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

1. Project Management:

• Assist the team lead in planning, executing, and monitoring data-driven projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met within timelines.
• Identify and address potential roadblocks and propose solutions to maintain project momentum.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Develop and implement data quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct regular data audits and perform root cause analysis for any data discrepancies.
• Work closely with data engineers to maintain and improve data infrastructure.

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Communicate complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Act as a liaison between the Data and Analytics Team and other departments to facilitate data-sharing and collaboration.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC tools and framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
• Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
