What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to help our high-caliber financial services clients engineer solid data warehouse foundations and derive valuable insights from their data. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about data engineering and analytics to engage in exciting projects and either start or advance their career in the field.

A day in the life of the Data Engineer includes:

• Data Discovery and Extraction from multiple sources (transactional systems, files, online sources etc.)
• Development of Data Pipelines
• Data Transformation and Cleansing
• Data Model Design in collaboration with data architects
• Requirements Analysis in collaboration with business analysts
• Data Analysis, Visualization, and Reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in developing numerical and analytical skills, with a willingness to learn and explore different business domains.
• Very good understanding of SQL and data modelling concepts.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).
• Exposure to at least one DBMS (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA etc.).
• Knowledge of ETL tools like SSIS, Data Factory, SAP BW or similar (or willingness to learn).
• Exposure to Data Visualization and Analysis Tools like PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or similar (or a desire to learn these tools).
• Excellent command of English and Greek
• Military obligations fulfilled for male candidates (if applicable).

The following are optional but will be considered as strong assets in your application:

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud Data Stacks (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, etc.)
