Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

The focus of this role is to Architect, build, and execute a scalable data infrastructure that supports the expanding use of AI/ML technology across the organization In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data architectures that support our AI/ML initiatives, analytics using Microsoft Fabric, as well as supporting existing SQL server data warehouse solutions. Your expertise in data modeling, database management, data warehousing, and cloud-based storage solutions will play a key role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our data-driven processes, contributing to Eagle Family Foods continued growth and success.

 

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data architecture to support AI/ML initiatives, analytics, and the integration of structured and non-structured data from various sources
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, product managers, software developers and Key business area members, to ensure seamless data integration and optimal performance.
  • Translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, database design, and metadata management, ensuring consistency and standardization across all data platforms and projects
  • Creating procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
  • Analyzing, planning, and defining data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data
  • Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements
  • Optimize new and current database systems
  • Define security and backup procedures
  • Collaborating with other teams within the organization to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess shareholder needs and goals
  • Provide operational support for BI Solutions
  • Power BI and SSRS report development
  • SQL Server development
  • Migrate data from legacy systems to Microsoft Fabric

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Analyst, Database Developer, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, as well as database management systems.
  • Strong SQL server development (database creation, table creation, stored procedures, Indexes, SSIS development).
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
  • Knowledge of various cloud-based storage solutions and technologies (e.g., AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage).
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI preferred)
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • BS in Computer Science or relevant field

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with ERP systems and applications
    • Preferred - Infor M3, Infor OS, Infor ETL tools, Infor Data Lake
  • Experience in business analytics in a Manufacturing or CPG company
  • Experience with ODATA, APIs, JSON, SFTP and other connection points
