Job Summary
The Sr. AI Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing automation workflows on Cloud platforms (Azure & AWS) using AI/ML and Agentic services. As a member of the AI/ML Automation Team, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to build core AI services and custom applications and workflows. The ideal candidate is adaptable, passionate about technology and AI, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has a positive attitude.
This position is required to report into the Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and implement automation workflows using Workato's iPaaS platform, Automation Anywhere, and Power Automate.
- Collaborate with the Abstraction Layer team for interface automation.
- Work with the Director of AI and the AI/ML team on desktop-centric and user impersonation tasks using agentic bots.
- Integrate applications, processes, and data sources for seamless workflows.
- Maintain and optimize automation workflows for reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues.
- Stay updated with the latest features and best practices of automation tools.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Write detailed design specifications and develop new software features.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality.
- Support CI/CD processes for stability, efficiency, security, and quality.
- Recommend continuous improvements for SDLC and DevOps.
- Develop and implement test automation to improve efficiency and enforce quality/security baselines.
- Create and maintain product documentation.
- Participate in advanced support escalation for live site management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 7+ years of work professional experience.
- Proven experience with automation platforms, preferably Workato's iPaaS, Automation Anywhere, and Power Automate, with 3+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or similar, with 3+ years of experience.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of integration concepts and experience with APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to write high-quality design specs.
- Experience writing high-performance, scalable code.
- Experience debugging live site problems and building automation for high-scale services.
- Experience developing applications in Azure or AWS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications.
- Working knowledge of Git and Agile software development principles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, NoSQL, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful services.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and services.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI-powered automation.
- Familiarity with data orchestration and management.
- Experience delivering software applications leveraging AI/ML services.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, and JavaScript frameworks like React.JS.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to large audiences.
- Experience with performance analysis and optimization of web services and automated workflows.
- Experience with C#.
Unique Requirements
- Position requires up to 10% of travel as determined by SHI Management
Additional Information
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
