SVP / Technology Data Lead Engineer

The USPB Technology Data Lead Engineer is a senior management level position responsible for designing and implementing unified data strategies that align with Citi’s data governance and technology policies.   The lead will combine hands-on data and application development with management of a team with technical and governance of data processes. The role requires leading the evolution of our data platform and building data products and self-service solutions for risk users.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data strategies for all USPB Risk applications, including collection, storage and integrations to ensure fit for purpose data.

• Ensure data security and compliance are aligned with internal policies, consistent with regulations and standards.

• Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)

• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results

• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards

• Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources

• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

• Provide hands on technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to a team of engineers to deliver high quality, robust and scalable solutions within budget and defined timelines

• Work collaboratively with product owners, architects and lead engineers to develop secure, reliable and performant systems that meet business requirements

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience

• Experience in applications development

• Experience with ETL tools/ technologies handling Big Data.

• Experience in management

• Experience managing global technology teams

• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
