Responsibilities (LNG Trading and Research): 

  • Build models from complex data to forecast fundamental developments in the LNG market.
  • Produce insight on the market through new research perspectives and statistical analysis.
  • Identify improvements for existing models and analyse their performance in the context of the current market environment.
  • Analyse relationships between price and fundamentals to produce price forecasts, identify discontinuities and inform trading strategies.
  • Understand and communicate the risks associated with positions in the gas market.
  • Perform back-tests on proposed fundamentally driven trading strategies.
  • Review research reports and articles that examine recent developments in the energy markets.
  • Build up close connection with external consultancies and internal research team.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelors or Masters in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or a related field of study.
  • Expected graduation date in 2026 (as early as Spring 2026, as late as December 2026)
  • Must be available to work in person in Geneva office minimum three days a week, ideally four
  • Must be available to intern in person in Geneva office for a minimum of six months
  • Must be able to start internship as early as August 4th, no later than later September 2025
  • Prior internship/exposure to the commodities markets, or experience with other financial institutions is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills in one or more of the following:
    • R, Python, Matlab, C++, as well as SQL or other database exposure. Python is the preferred programming language.
  • Ability to perform data analysis, model, forecast and effectively communicate results with a high attention to detail.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an effective team player and add value to team.
