The Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end data systems, ensuring a scalable, secure, high-performance data infrastructure supporting business intelligence, analytics, and operational efficiency. This role encompasses key aspects of data engineering, data management, analytics readiness (managing databases and creating actionable reports for stakeholders), and back-end development, bridging multiple functions to create a robust and efficient data ecosystem.
Strategy Development & Planning
Design a hybrid data infrastructure integrating on-premises and cloud solutions with security, access, and privacy strategies.
Develop a long-term data architecture strategy with cost-effective solutions while ensuring high performance and security.
Evaluate and select technologies for data storage, processing, and integration · Plan for real-time processing capabilities to support analytics.
Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure minimal data loss during outages. ·
Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides and technical manuals.
Resource Acquisition & Management
Evaluate and recommend databases, ETL tools, analytics platforms, and cloud services based on organizational needs. ·
Provide input to the business unit regarding best practices in data management.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
Establish and enforce data governance policies for access, classification, and retention in compliance with Wahana Visi IT standards.
Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ensure clean and consistent data integration across platforms.
Develop and enforce best practices in database management, data integrity, and data analytics.
Optimize storage mechanisms and retrieval processes to ensure quick access to data.
Implement best data encryption and access control practices to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of all stored data.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for speed and efficiency.
Create comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations communicating key data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analyse digital trends to predict customer behavior, market shifts, and product performance.
Regularly review and enhance data architecture based on new technologies and best practices.
Capacity Building
Provide client support, consultation, and subject matter expertise for system development, maintenance, and support.
Networking & Coordination
Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategies with business goals.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and help drive data-driven strategies. ·
Assess vendor solutions for data integration, storage, and analytics.
Management & Leadership
Build and maintain a positive spirit of teamwork with other staff in respective units and departments.
Implement all activities aligned with WV Indonesia’s Child Protection Policy and Standard, including regularly participating in CP awareness and training and responding to child protection incidents promptly and appropriately.
Submit monthly reports timely
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in database management, data analysis, or related fields.
Knowing back-end development is a MUST.
Prior experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or similar industries is an added advantage.
Certifications in relevant technologies, such as: Cloud & Data Engineering; Database Management & Development ; Big Data & Analytics ; Data Governance & Security
Professional Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary.
Technical Skills: ·
Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Maria DB, )
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
Knowledge of database design, data modeling, and data architecture
Familiarity with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud)
Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security standards (GDPR, HIPAA)
Strength in back-end programming (e.g. Laravel Framework, Typescript)
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
Experience in data mining, pattern recognition, and statistical analysis
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills ·
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams ·
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting
