RTX has an opening for a Director, Master Data Management (MDM) & Governance – ERP Program (Director, Business Systems and Transformation) role.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP governance technologies and frameworks, leveraging them to integrate governance policies and enhance enterprise data processes.

The Master Data Management & Governance Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading data governance strategy for the ERP program. This role ensures the consistency, security, and accessibility of master data across all business units and systems, enabling operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. The role encompasses Data Governance, Data Retention, Data Literacy initiatives, Data Quality, and Data Security for the ERP program.

In this capacity, the leader will collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Process teams, business units, and external partners, relying heavily on influencing skills to foster alignment and ensure adherence to governance policies.

The role encompasses Data Governance, Data Retention, Data Literacy initiatives, Data Quality, and Data Security for the ERP program.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP governance technologies and frameworks, leveraging them to integrate governance policies and enhance enterprise data processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Data Governance Strategy and Execution - Develop and implement data governance strategies that ensure secure, accurate, and reliable master data. Establish and enforce Data Retention policies to align with regulatory and organizational requirements. Build solutions to automate Data Quality and Security policies. Drive the adoption of Data Quality, Classification, Tagging and Security best practices across Process, Digital Technology teams and business units.
  • Data Literacy and Cultural Transformation - Define and implement a Data Literacy strategy to build organizational awareness of Master Data Management, Data Governance & Analytics practices in a measurable manner. Promote a culture of data stewardship through targeted training and communication programs, fostering accountability at all levels.
  • Policy Development and Enforcement - Lead the creation, communication, and enforcement of governance policies that integrate seamlessly into SAP technologies and business processes. Ensure consistent application of policies across systems and functions, influencing stakeholders to align with governance objectives.
  • Integration with SAP Governance Technologies - Embed governance frameworks into SAP technologies, optimizing compliance monitoring, automation, and quality assurance. Lead initiatives to enhance the functionality of SAP data governance tools to meet evolving business and regulatory needs.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership - Collaborate with Data Owners, IT teams, and business leaders to align governance initiatives with organizational objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights on data compliance, risk mitigation, and operational improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement - Leverage emerging technologies and best practices to refine governance frameworks. Conduct regular audits to ensure policy adherence and data quality, adapting processes based on organizational feedback and regulatory updates.
  • Travel up to 10%+

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 14+ years’ of experience in Master Data Management, governance, and SAP roles and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 12+ years’ experience in related work experience
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide data initiatives, including policy development, implementation, and enforcement.
  • Expertise in SAP data governance tools and advanced data platforms.
  • Deep experience in regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Program Qualifications: To qualify for the Raytheon Technologies, Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
