As an operations analyst, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our defense team, you’ll evaluate data assessment strategies such as statistical analysis, flow processing, and management assessment to deliver solutions.
You won’t go at it alone. You’ll work alongside a team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic or cost data such as what-if analysis. Once documented, you’ll develop program documentation, briefs, presentations, and graphs to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency.
In this role, you’ll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.
Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that advance defense industry.

You Have:
3+ years of experience with analytical methodologies, including statistics, data modeling, forecasting, optimization, or academia
3+ years of experience advising and collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate data and optimize data usage
Experience with Python, R, VBA, or MATLAB
Experience preparing and presenting briefings and papers to senior leadership
Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop mathematical models to support a variety of client problems
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Nice If You Have:
Experience with survey design, analysis, and interview techniques
Experience with decision models, wargaming, simulation, resource allocation, data and information management, nodal or flow modeling, cost benefit analysis, trending, and forecasting
Ability to analyze, report, and develop recommendations on data related to operational metrics
Ability to prepare detailed assessment reports
Possession of excellent organizational skills
Possession of excellent communication skills
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Master's degree
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
