The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (up to 2 years)
  • Level 8 - $110,629 to $125,223 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • CSU Campus preferred (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about data and eager to make a significant impact in AI and Cybersecurity? Join our innovative team at the AI and Cyber Futures Institute (AICF) as a Research Data Engineer. In this exciting role, you’ll dive into large volumes of data from various sources, ensuring top-notch quality and rigour in all data analytics and data science functions. You’ll create high-quality, curated data assets for downstream teams’ self-service analytics and become the go-to expert for all data-related queries, seamlessly blending the roles of Information Analyst and Data Engineer.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, or Julia
  • Strong communication skills and familiarity with machine learning, statistical models, and big data technologies
  • Open-mindedness and a growth mindset, eager to tackle challenging projects and continuously learn.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary or research environments, and familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers
