Google Cloud Architect – Data & AI - Dubai

Role Overview

We are seeking a Google Cloud Architect – Data & AI to join our growing team in Dubai, playing a key role in shaping and implementing data-driven solutions across the APMENA region. This position will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing AI-powered data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), helping enterprises leverage cloud-native technologies for advanced analytics, AI/ML, and data governance. 

Additionally, this role has a strong pre-sales focus, requiring close collaboration with Google’s customer engineering team to drive customer engagements, proof-of-concepts, and solution demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development and Pre-Sales

• Engage in pre-sales activities, including client workshops, technical demos, and solution presentations to showcase GCP capabilities.

• Partner closely with Google Cloud’s partner and customer engineering teams to co-develop solutions, execute proofs-of-concept, and ensure seamless technical enablement.

• Collaborate with Google Cloud to drive joint go-to-market initiatives and participate in co-innovation projects.

• Act as a thought leader in the region by contributing to Valtech’s Data & AI practice and engaging with clients on emerging technologies.

• Be a point of contact into Google, liaising with the Google engineering teams to ensure our sales and project teams receive the required support from the vendor.

• Assist the Solutions Director in developing our capabilities and services portfolio.

• Attend Google Cloud technical events and briefings, using new knowledge gained to help enable the wider team.

• Be an advocate for Google Cloud amongst colleagues, providing a valuable contribution and helping to build the internal Google Cloud community.

2. Strategy and Technical Leadership

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Data & AI solutions on GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

• Define best practices for data architecture, data governance, and AI model deployment within enterprise environments.

• Provide guidance on data security, compliance, and cloud cost optimization.

• Develop and optimize data pipelines, MLOps workflows, and real-time analytics architectures.

• Drive upskilling and certifications for our development teams in APMENA, fostering innovation and technical excellence.

3. Client Engagement and Project Delivery

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions leveraging GCP services like BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, and Dataplex.

• Work closely with engineering teams to implement AI-driven personalization, data-driven marketing, and advanced analytics solutions.

• Manage stakeholder relationships and work across multi-region teams to deliver high-impact projects.

• Ensure successful implementation and adoption of Data & AI solutions by clients, balancing technical execution with business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture with a strong focus on Data & AI solutions on GCP.

• Proven expertise in BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Looker.

• Strong understanding of Google Cloud’s generative AI solutions, such as Gemini, embeddings and Agent Builder.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data engineering, and MLOps best practices.

• Experience with machine learning model deployment and AI-driven analytics architectures.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Terraform for cloud automation and data workflows.

• Google Cloud Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, and Professional Cloud Architect)

• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multi-region teams.

• Proven experience in pre-sales, client engagement, and delivering technical presentations.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
